Some of you may know me from Kent Hill Garage, Nantwich Road, where I worked as mechanic for 15 years.  I come from a large family of 10, most of whom still live in the village so I know the area well.

I recently took early retirement and got bored doing nothing so attended a computer course at Wood Lane Community Centre.  I enjoyed that so much that I ended up volunteering with the Wood Lane Newsletter.  After many requests from people in the community  I decided to take up the challenge to produce a newsletter that was further reaching.

For the past two years I have been working in Audley as the Project Officer for EverybodyOnline.  The project has now come to an end and I have now moved on to work with community arts group Letting in the Light.  Through continuation funding from Microsoft & Staffordshire County Council's Local Member Initiative Scheme, Letting in the Light are pleased to enable me to continue to help Ernie and the team where needed

AUDLEY COMMUNITY NEWS

This newsletter covers the Parish District of Audley.

1500 copies are produced each quarter, and designated places have the newsletter available for collection. A list of these places can be found in the newsletter, Post offices and Library.

This is a great opportunity for anyone with a little time to spare to come and help in the production of this newsletter. The newsletter is produced in Audley Community Centre.

Everyone is welcome. There is the opportunity for any one with writing skills to produce all kinds of information, short stories, funny tales, jokes, tales from the past, experiences of any form and also any of those tips on DIY or from those experts from the garden, there is also the opportunity to learn the skills of Desktop Publishing.

We are very keen for the young people of the village to take part and therefore we will be contacting the local schools to ask them for items of interest to be printed in the newsletter. We would also welcome Church and religious information and sports news of any form.

If there are any community groups that meet and would like to be promoted in the newsletter please let us have your information.

If you have any information of forthcoming events please do not hesitate to contact us.

We will be inviting local businesses and local services to have the opportunity to advertise in the newsletter. Their advertisements will be available on the Web
