would like to wish everyone a very merry christmas and a happy new year, (thinking back of lying in bed at Vernon avenue Audley and listening to the Church bells striking midnight on Christmas Eve, couldnt sleep waiting for Father christmas to come) magical days, all the best to you all, Pam Stevenson (Rhodes)

What an Excellent feature on my Fathers Aunty and Uncles wedding day! Frank & Gladys plant March Edition. It certainly made my day seeing my dad on the front row looking at Gladys wedding dress blowing in the wind and to see my grand parents enjoying the day. It has turned out to be a real family Treasure for me. Excellent work keep it up!.

Congratulations Ernie!

The Rotary Club of Audley have given out a 'Service Above Self' award to Ernie Moulton of bignall End for his work in the community.

Mr Moulton was presented with the award by Rotary Club President John Brunt to honour his work producing free magazine - the Audley Community News - which provides information about activities around the area.

Hiya Everyone, just to let you know that things are looking good at the moment in Wood Lane. The Sentinel the other night said that it is hoped that Wood Lane would have a Post Office at the Commity Centre by April 2006. So keep our fingers crossed and with a bit of luck Wood Lane will have their Post Office back. Fantastic Work.
Love

I left Audley/Bignall End without a thought or a care thirty five years ago, I went to school at Halmerend Secondary Modern (as it was then). I have been in the USA for the last twenty years, and have visited Audley/Bignall End only once or twice in all that time. Until recently I never gave much thought to my past, where I grew up, the people I knew and the culture I grew up in, until my youngest daughter (7) starting asking me about England and where I came from. I have found that my memories came flooding back, bringing with it a sense of homesickness or longing for things I grew up with like Oatcakes ... but enough of my rambling on.. this guestbook and website has enabled me to touch my roots again. Thank You

Here is a poem I wrote many years ago, I hope you will enjoy it.

Woman, Mother, Lover

Who is Lover, Woman, Mother,
Eyes alive with life and living,
Full of laughter, loving, giving,
Dark with passion, wanting, yearning.

Who is Mother, Woman, Lover,
Hair resplendent with autumn reds,
Sunlight dancing on flaming threads,
Life's rank displayed, with silver bands.

Who is Woman, Lover, Mother,
Lips soft and full, promising pleasure,
That tease and laugh with equal measure,
Quick to laugh and slow to frown.

Who is Mother, Lover, Woman,
Heart in-tune to childrens voices,
Always listening, always loving,
Love for children everlasting.

Help someone please..............................

Where can I find Cedarwood Aftershave for Men by a company called Goya International Limited, who were based on Bond Street, in London.

I know that Goya went bump.
But don't know who bought them out.

I used to be able to get the aftershave from Blackpool.
But now can't find it anywhere.

My Uncle who is 76 has always used the aftershave, and now is running very low........................does anyone know where I can find some, I am willing to pay postage etc, if someone can point me in the right direction.

Thank you in anticipation of your help.

Love
Dawn

It is hoped that there will be a meeting to discuss this matter with the people mentioned above.

I was just wondering why the Learning Centre has closed down in Audley. That means Youth 4 Audley is no more, and that the other things that were there are gonna stop, n thats not fair to anyone.

Went to the Christmas Fayre at the Audley Community Centre today and it was brilliant. I met a lovely elderly couple and had a fantastic laugh with them over a cup of coffee. Can't wait for the next Christmas Fayre. Congratulations Audley Community Centre. We had a lovely time.....and a great laugh.

THANK YOU SARAH, you talked me into your group to learn the computer, at 72 years of age I hadn't a clue, and sure I would never learn, you proved me wrong. I breed exhibition budgerigars for a hobby, now I have friends all over the world on a Budgerigar Internet group, this is something I never thought possible.
I say to any one reading this letter, Contact Sarah, she is in Audley for us, just ask, and Sarah will do her best to help..Sarah THANK YOU.

I would just like to congratulate you on the christmas issue of the newsletter. I found the contents to be of an excellent quality. Also the quality of the newsletter was outstanding, how you can keep this quality up is unbilievable. I do hope that the newsletter gets the credit it so much deserves, as I have only heard good coments from the people who have read it. I was quite surprised to see that the local parish council had not supported you, when you applied for funding. Keep up the good work

Hello Audley,
We would like to congratulate you on a wonderful site and wish you luck in your endeavours with the community news. We are writing from Boissevain, Manitoba, Canada, which is your twin town for the international communities in Bloom Competition. Please feel free to check out our community website http://www.boissevain.ca or our communities in bloom guestbook at http://www.boissevainrecorder.mb.ca/inbloom (where you can find the names of people who are looking for Audley Penpals or drop us a line just saying hello).
Again, congratulations on the well designed site, we particularly like the colour scheme (the earth tones make a nice combination). Have a great day and good luck on the 16th of August.
